Pakistan Navy Sea King Helicopters Rescue Iranian Boat Crew

A pair of Pakistan Navy Sea King helicopters and auxiliary ship PNS Nasr in a rescue mission some 230 kilometers away from the port city of Karachi rescued eleven crew members of a stricken Iranian boat and transported them to Pakistan Navy Naval Air Station PNS Mehran in Karachi. The rescue mission was completed in one hour & thirty minutes.

After getting medical treatment from Pakistan Navy, the rescued men were handed over Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) for their repatriation to Iran.

BTW, I had not seen Pakistan Navy Sea King in yellow colour scheme before.

Abbas this is recently acquired Westland MK3A Sea King used by RAF in the past, the RAF Sea Kings were yellow in color and PN adapted the same color scheme.
S/N: 17 /18 & 19 are allotted for recently acquired machines.

Pakistan Navy Sea King serial 17 (4517 ?) is the former Royal Air Force Search and Rescue helicopter with the serial ZH544, The other search and rescue helicopter sold to the Pakistan Navy ZH545 is believed to be used as spares source.

The Pakistan Navy recently, end of 2017, brought 5 Sea Kings retired from the Royal Air Force/Royal Navy they were

Sea King HAR.3A (the yellow Rescue Helicopters)
ZH544 = 4517 or 17 in Pakistan Navy service
ZH545 = Spares use

Sea King HC.4 (The Olive Green "Commando" Helicopters)
ZA295 = spares use
ZF117 = 4518 or 18 in Pakistan Navy use
ZG821 = 4519 or 19 in Pakistan Navy use

Abbas the above info is right, actually total 07 air frames procured and 05 brought to Pakistan (02 x Commando HC 4 {S/N ZA296 & ZA 299}) striped down for spares and fuselage dumped in UK)
Please be noted that prefix 451X is only destined for initially procured 06 machines back in 70's as those machines are Mark 45 (designated by OEM) hence 4510 till 4516, the newly acquired machines are Mark 3A & Mark 4 hence 4517/4518 or 4519 can't apply on them,only 17/18 &19.
