Re: International Flight Operations Suspended for Two Weeks in Pakistan
Why PIA flights??
Why not let Qatar, Emirates Turkish or Thai bring them back like they were suppose to.
They are stranded because of Pakistan closing its airspace not because those airlines stopped flying to Pakistan.

High Commission of Pakistan in Malaysia Rescues 54 Pakistani Passengers Stranded at Kuala Lumpur Airport
Islamabad: March 22, 2020 Fifty-four Pakistani nationals scheduled to travel to Pakistan by Thai and Emirates airlines were stranded at Kuala Lumpur International Airport yesterday (21 March) after airlines refused to allow boarding in wake of restrictions on air travel to Pakistan. The situation became complicated as the passengers had already completed immigration formalities and were waiting for boarding. After airlines’ refusal to allow boarding, the passengers were left stranded. On receipt of information, the High Commission immediately mobilized its officers to reach out to the Malaysian Immigration authorities to facilitate the re-entry of stranded Pakistanis. After concerted efforts, the Mission was able to accomplish re-entry of all the stranded Pakistani passengers. We owe profound thanks to Malaysian authorities for their support. After securing the release from the airport around midnight, the stranded passengers were accommodated in a local hotel and provided meals. It may be noted that a Movement Control Order banning all non-essential movement and social interaction has been in place since 18 March in Malaysia. The role played by Mr. Ghulam Haider, First Secretary/Community Welfare Attache and Mr. Afzaal Tahir, Counsellor to mitigate a humanitarian situation is highly commendable. We are highly grateful to Government of Malaysia for their understanding and support especially under the grave circumstances.

Re: International Flight Operations Suspended for Two Weeks in Pakistan
In 2 weeks lot of countries would be almost in a position to open airports again as most countries have locked up their populations for 2-3 weeks already and Pakistan is yet to start.
In 1 month while the whole world might have this disease under control in Pakistan it would be still spreading and I am afraid no one will allow flights from Pakistan. This will go on for 3 months.
Pakistan has to lock up today than maybe in 1 month something will happen.
The way Pakistan is right now it will remain isolated from the rest of the world.

Re: International Flight Operations Suspended for Two Weeks in Pakistan
Very unfortunate. We were booked for today from ISB to AMS but flight was earlier cancelled. They booked us on April 1st (which looks like will be cancelled) and now they are operating ISB-DOH flight. I called them twice to get the flight changed back for today and they said THERE IS NO FLIGHT FROM ISB ON 24th MAR.
