Another new livery by PIA?

I guess aviation decals are generally used on short-term liveries. They require some degree of additional care otherwise, they can peel off. But who cares. At least they are gonna last till the elections. And I guess that's why only 4 aircraft are getting this livery.

Totally agree with this.

I'm amazed how a nearly bankrupt airline can spend billions on secondary things like livery. Why don't they understand that passenger are concerned about those services which you provide, not what your aircraft look like.

Your aircraft on ground due to unavailability of engine and other spares and you are spending tax payers money on beautifications. Why a new livery was so necessary?

All the time experimental approach sunk this airline.

Unfortunately PIA management are short sighted either deliberately or not but just want to focus on packaging without fixing malignant disease to show up fake picture of progress. Same goes with political leaders as well.

PIA Boeing 777s registrations AP-BGZ and AP-BMS could be among first set of aircraft to receive new livery because these two aircraft already have mainly all-white fuselage.

Those dots may have been moved out of window.

Flag also noticed in small size and not lined with "PIA" top edge.

AP-BLU ready for its first flight after maintenance check and new livery.

Supreme Court has stopped PIA from removing Pakistan flag from aircraft tail.

The court questioned replacement of flag with the picture of an animal and asked PIA about the cost of applying new livery on aircraft. The airline replied PKR 2,700,000/- will be spent per aircraft for applying new livery. The court was informed that Markhor is Pakistan's national animal.

The court responded that actually PKR 3,400,000/- per aircraft is going to be spent for new livery. The court asked PIA officials that is the airline earning profit that they are spending money on livery change? The court also said that the government arranged twenty billions rupees bailout package for improving the airline not for changing aircraft livery. PIA needs to improve through performance not by changing livery, the court remarked.

PIA official told the Supreme Court that so far only one aircraft has been painted in new livery. Other aircraft will not be painted in new livery.

While I personally too do not like the new livery, yet do not think it is appropriate for SC to interfere in such matters.

Spokesman PIA says that during the court proceedings on new livery CJ inquired about the costs and the reasons for the new livery. CEO explained the costs and the commercial considerations that organization do invest in their branding for incremental revenues. CJ ordered to submit a detailed written reply on his queries. CEO submitted that one aircraft is already ready and will be operational soon.
