* Passports of fifteen crew members of flight PK-785 have been returned by the British Authorities.

* The crew members will be part of crew of PIA London-Heathrow to Karachi flight PK-788 today.

These drug cartels have the power to penetrate any system. It really requires seriousness and commitment to stop this trade as otherwise they have the power to buy anyone or get anyone off from their way if he tries to stop them. This news has provided more fodder to Pakistan haters.

help from Pakistan means that if UK authorities wish to probe further from Pakistan based crew/employees, for that Pakistan could give access in some way or Pakistani authorities can probe and provide details to UK authorities to conclude case; if i understood correctly.

Very unlikely.

Whether LHR likes it or not, PIA is a pretty major carrier in LHR. Terminal 3 is practically sub-continent territory with almost 2 daily PIA flights, a huge pak population, and I suppose PIA paying heavy landing and parking fees for 2 daily 773/772 flights.
Also, due to high luggage allowance, a lot of duty-free items are bought by PIA pax flying back home as gifts and stuff.

If the narcotics were discovered from areas not easily reachable in normal circumstances, this looks like a job done by someone familiar with plane's technical details. No other person can simply take off panels or bolts to hide such stuff without any technical assistance. Need to look into engineering department for any black sheep.

Quite agree with this. I think we are jumping the gun on this one regarding the "smuggling crew". If drugs were hid this deep in the aircraft, the crew might have nothing to do with this crime.

Quite agree with this. I think we are jumping the gun on this one regarding the "smuggling crew". If drugs were hid this deep in the aircraft, the crew might have nothing to do with this crime.

crew must be involved, though not all of them; otherwise how the shipment could got unloaded at destination?
