I flew on this aircraft from HKG to ISB via Bangkok last September and it was the pits, they do not clean at HKG so guess the state of it when I joined, it was DISGUSTING and my seat number 1K so God only knows what Y class was like.
My prayers have been answered as these combi's have been pulled from the HKG route !!!!!!!!!!!
I am flying there again in May so will send a report on the A310.
Flying BHX-ISB-HKG !

if you notice there is no overhead cabins in the upper deck. There is space where you keep your hand luggage at the side where the window which is not visable in this photo, and it is not a big space and usually you have to keep it under the seat. If you want to look out the window you really have to bend over to have a look becasue of the extra space of the side luggage space which is really annoying. I think it is more comfortable just sitting in economy class on the main deck cuz at least you have enough space for ur luggage and can look straight out of the window!

NO Cabin Dividers
I see in one of the photos, there are no cabin dividers, is all cabin one class or something??? if not, seems very unusual to have no dividers for privacy and seperation of classes.

Re: NO Cabin Dividers
They use curtains as dividers which are only used during flight. All other times the curtains are open, that is the reason why you see no dividers.speedbird london wrote:I see in one of the photos, there are no cabin dividers, is all cabin one class or something??? if not, seems very unusual to have no dividers for privacy and seperation of classes.

cabin baggage storage
Abbas, could you please amend the comment on the first pic - thats ey+ upp/deck.
Cabin baggage storage is simply a nightmare on these combi's.
All the overhead storage bins are tiny compared to the B747's and they are also flip sided i.e. you have to lift the weight of your baggage in the bin to close it whereas the bins on the B747's close from the top.
This flight was PK709/710 LHE/MAN/LHE and at the end of boarding we had to off load over a dozen heavy cabin bags and label them up for the hold as there was simply no room in eycl !!
If you think your going to get away with your trolley bag upstairs in ey+....then think again !!
Both compartments in eycl in the first four rows in the middle there are no overhead bins at all !!
There are no cabin dividers simply curtains separating eycl and club class on the main deck.
Since there is an access doorway to the main deck cargo at the rear of the aircraft a separate compartment should be created to adjust oversized baggage at the last minute by the cabin crew to avoid a delay.
Since the bulk hold is usually full by then and it would save alot of time
I'm sure the crew would love that idea
