btw, F/O Naveed Akhtar has four stripes.... so does that mean he is a B777 Captain but flying as a F/O?

Well in PIA four stripes means First Officer and for the Captain its four stripes and a star as you can see on Captain. Gardezi's shoulders.

Thanks for clearing that up.
I assume this only applies to the 777 as I've seen pics of F/O's on A300 etc. with less then four stripes.
