Apparenlty licencing ( from what ive heard) was the issue.
This shot below is probably the best shot which the Pashmina tail really shows off all its glory....

Im my opinion, the tail is great but a white body with just Pakistan doesnt do it for me, some more detail on the fuselage and engines is needed so not all the tail stands out but the fuselage aswell...

I actually read it of this forum quite a while back when Abbas had the www.tripod.historyofpia forum. Cant remember who the original person who claimed such a theory.Nasir wrote:Care to provide details?PK777 wrote:Apparenlty licencing ( from what ive heard) was the issue.
But apparently you have to register the livery you put on aircraft, and PIA ( i remember reading) didnt and it had to be replaced...i.ll see if i can find the link ..

That was the most beautiful design I ever saw on PIA or as a matter of fact on ANY AIRLINE ever, looking at its beauty at JFK, everytime I went to pick up/ drop off someone made me remember Pakistan, and brought tears to my eye, and a sense of jubilation to my heart. I really wish that PIA would bring back this livery. I dont know maybe I'm wierd, but when I use to see this livery, I use to get all excited, and happy inside, and I would want to fly PIA right away, no matter what their service was like. Apparently, now when I see PIA, I dont get that feeling anymore

Tail
Usalamulkium,
Excellent pictures. To be honest i believe, Yes it was an excellent Tail and that Tail had it reign of success. As fly1346 said

But unfortunately are PIA fleet was getting old and needed modernisation and along with this modernisation the Tail was altered. I still believe that the new Tail with the Pakistan Flag is brilliant and keeps the country’s name high and still provides that sense of jubilation.fly1346 wrote:Everytime I went to pick up/ drop off someone made me remember Pakistan, and brought tears to my eye, and a sense of jubilation to my heart.

I don’t see what the issue is with my comments but anyways am sorry if caused harm to anyone but they did not meant to.
Nothing wrong in your comments. Just as other members can admire their favourite livery you also can admire your favourite PIA livery.
