Absolutely, agree with all your points, but you have to remember PIA has represented the nation for over fifty years and with a fantastic livery every decade, some of us feel that will such a rich background this livery is a kick in the backside for it all....Personally i feel the only thing lacking in this livery is a well recognised tail that we all know and remember..
At the moment, the tail seems to be under-represented and at many airports compared to other airline tails it looks cheap and poorly done. Many people in the world still dont even know what the thing is on the tail..
Take a look at some of these pictures and you will understand how pathetic the tail looks compared to other airlines of the world. Hopefully Tariq has something better designed to make the tail stand out from the crowd !!

I know its supposed to be a weirdly distorted angle-d flag, but it looks like a cross between the Rolling Stones logo and Bart Simpson
No, just the weird way it's angled on the tail and what that odd angle makes it looks like from a distance till u realize that its the flag. Its ugly. Thats all im saying. The one before it was much nicer.
The current livery is hideous. An aqua/blue-green mosaic tail design would look fresh and (if done right) stylish.
