Abbas thats a nice find! Take a look closely and you'll notice that the Mi-17 has been either been upgraded or modified to have cargo doors on the starboard side and a doppler on the chin. The aux intake has been moved up. In the background you can see the newer versions of the Mi-17s. I guess its fair to say that PA operates all versions of the Mi-8/17"Hip" family!

PS. I bet that olive green chopper on the extreme right with only it tail rotor visible is one of those new Bell 412EPs.

What I guess is this photo has been taken by a person who has gone there as a helping team member.

from what i remember of Mansehra, there was no airport. just a few heliports and that also used by the army. When PIA started air service to Abbottabad they used the Russian hinds from Islamabad, and there also they did not have an airport but used to land at one of the Army centers grounds. Cant remember which exactly, FF or Baloch center?

It is now opened as PIA has resumed its flights from Islamabad some months before. I dont know if those flights are still being operated or not.
