On August 28, 2016, a Saudi Arabian Boeing 747 as VIP flight with Saudi Second Deputy Prime Minister, Second Deputy Prime Minister & Defence Minister Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud onboard arrived at Benazir Bhutto International Air Port (BBIAP) - Islamabad / Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Base Nur Khan, Chaklala.

Apparently a classic Boeing 747-300 with rotating red beacons.

I wonder why they dont use the 747-400 it never flies anywhere since it was converted to VIP configuration around 2010, this 747-300 is from the 1980s, the 747-8 BBJ ordered and built has been put up for sale in the US where its parked in a desert.

^ AbdulAziz, to me it looked like older 747-300 because of rotating red beacon lights but its wingtip was not clearly visible due to night. Clear view of wingtip would have helped in identifying/confirming model series of this 747.

I think newer 747-300s and all 747-400s have flashing red beacons.

Glad to see the 744 is active, thought they had stopped using it.

Maybe the aircraft that visited Pakistan was Boeing 747-3G1 registration HZ-HM1A built in 1983 seen in this photo taken in June 2016.

Want the VIP 743 a Combi? not seeing side cargo door in either of the pics, or do they have another one.

From the two pictures (night time) it is not clear whether it is HZ-HM1 (747-400) or HZ-HM1A (747-3GR1). Usually HZ-HM1 is dedicated for the King while other 747s can be used by either Crown Princes (as there are 2 of them) or other members of the Royal Family whom are authorised for certain flight on the 747-SPs. Apart from 747s there is one 757, which is a medical aircraft, one MD-90 with 36 first class seats and One 777-268 in use. Royal Court will get one 777-368 as well in near future and a A330. Apart from the said aircraft now they have two (02) A340s (HZ-HMS2 & HZ-124), once Airbus A318elite (HZ-RCA) and recently purchased Gulfstream G650 (don't understand as to why King needs a G650).

The 777-368 is from the Saudia fleet, which will join Royal Court after delivery and proving flights.
