The PR angle is very obvious in the activities, e.g PM's ADC dropping relief goods, banners on relief goods as 'Tohfa' from so and so and the navy fokker.
All these planes are govt of pakistan assets, paid for, maintained and operated by taxpayers money. Its their foremost duty, obligation and responsibility to do this job in case of natural disasters, emergiencies and other clamities.

Note Pakistan Navy Fokker F27 Friendship Mark 400M serial number AR-NZW / 75 missing pitot tube on wingtip.
This is the only F27 ever with pitot tubes (and static ports) on the forward nose section (like Fairchild F-27 and Fairchild Hiller FH-227), after modifications carried out by Field Aviation, Canada, on order of British Petroleum - BP (Air Surveys), Ltd.
