I wish they did something about this tail. Its more black than dark green. Pak flag is hardly that dark green. Here at heathrow the tail does stand out and can be seen from miles but appears Black, unless you are 10 metres away and its bright sunny day.
Otherwise the livery is superb - just the green everywhere needs to be proper pakistani flag type of green.

True, Sundays are not boring at all at Frankfurt airport. What is certainly boring is that the visitors' gallery right above all these parked aircraft closes at 6 PM. In summer days, sun moves at the back of the gallery round about the same time. So not very ideal for photography.
Typical German :(

PIA parked at its usual gate - E9 which is at the far end of Terminal 2. Good to see the respect that PIA gets at Frankfurt. Hardly seen them parked at the remote stand at FRA airport.

Do airports really assign gates according to "respect"? I always thought it was availability that dictated what gate was given to an incoming flight. What does getting parked at the remote stand mean, (other than that it's probably cheaper for the airline than a terminal parking, and the pax would need to be bussed to the terminal)?

Certainly not according to respect. Generally, airlines with premium lounges prefer to have departure gate close to the lounge. As is the case with Emirates. They are on gate E8 most of the time. Sometimes you can go to gate E8 without even looking at the boarding pass and 9 out of 10 times you get the gate right if you are on Emirates flight.
Yes, thats what I mean by remote stand (may be I got it wrong). What I meant to say, you got it right :)
Cost factor was something I thought of too. But one can very often see Etihad's aircraft parked away from the terminal building and hence use the buses. While spending long hours for spotting there, I have also noticed sometimes the aircraft being parked away from the building although there are some gates still unoccupied. Definitely has to do something with costs also. But I was not convinced on this since I have seen PIA having a gate more than Etihad. Got to do something other than costs. or?

I like the tail as it does stand out and looks alot more dominant that the pathetic wavy thing they had before!
