Re: PIA Engineering Random
Very nice selection of photos.
Any idea what Nas Air was doing in Karachi ? Probably it transported Saudi relief teams for people working in flood affected areas of Pakistan ?
Bahrain Amiri Flight Boeing 747SP probably brought a Bahraini Royal Family member who was in Karachi some days ago for handing over relief goods to Pakistan's flood victims.
Thank you Zain for sharing and hope to see more.

Re: PIA Engineering Random
Salaam to all,
Good pics, thanks for sharing, but a great picture (last one) showing the 777 MEC (e/e bay) this is near door one left, a hatch, you go down and its the compartment where most of the aircraft electrical/electronics is stored, the circuit breakers, as you can see clearly on the white panels ahead and on right side. We, engineers , often go down there to reset systems when a fault shows in the flight deck. Great picture, hope many appreciate the hidden parts of an aircraft.

Re: PIA Engineering Random
Excellent last picture! Very interesting indeed.
Does anyone know if this area can be accessed inflight? (i.e is it part of the pressurised area of the aircraft).
And also if any situation can potentially arise inflight where this area would need to be accessed?
Thanks in advance - Iqbal

Yes this area is pressurized and can be accessed inflight. It's door is located just in front of the L1 door beneath the business class galley.

Btw, the Nas Air aircraft in that photo is an Airbus A320, and yes you guys are right Nas Air is operating Hajj flights from Pakistan this year. I've found news reports about it on the web. Details can be found in following topic:
