PK785 March 2008 (including cockpit)

Post by iqbal »

guys I dont know why I havent uploaded these until now. My cam battery had died so they are taken on my phones n95 so please excuse the low quality, they are not up to my usual standard !

Both captains were really nice and explained stuff like why the 777 of PIA flies in climb (CLB) thrust setting and not CRZ. And other things such as the standby instrument and how it works. They even checked the weather METAR in London and programmed in the STAR to Heathrow while I was inside.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

Iqbal Bhai How do they allow to visit cockpit on 1st of July I boarded PK-731 for JED it was AP-BHW. And I wasn't allow to visit cockpit and on the return leg PK-732 for KHI it was AP-BFY(correct me If I am wrong) The tail was of Ziarat "The City Of Flowers". At that time again I was not permitted to visit cockpit.

Nice pictures even though taken with cell cam. Iqbal, i am unable to understand that how you turned your cell ON and captain did not objected? As per current aviation policy, it is not allowed to use any cellular phone/device onboard due to navigational equip. can get disrupts. A few airlines have started cell phone service on board by installing extra communication devices but I dont think PIA has started similar service yet on International flights!

PIA has started the same service. I think you can use mobilink and telenor and if you want to use your mobile phone you can switch it flight mode. I used my N95 8GB while i was going JED and on the return leg. I made the video also but the file size quite a bit high I'll compress it and post it on the forum soon.
