Yes the first flight of A-380 will be SQ-380 and will land in Sydney at 5pm. Who else think SQ's livery is old fashioned and too simple? :)

I do - they shouldve given this airplane some special colors which they didnt :(

Also, are you sure it is doing its first scheduled flight to sydney? as far I remember, i was learning this in my course, and they taught us that it will LAX Los Angeles.

While searching at Airliners.net for more pics of 9V-SKA, the first A380 for SQ; what I found is intresting to view:

An SQ B743 was also registered on the same reg. which has been alotted to this new A380, any one can have some further details, please share.

Singapore would like to replace their B747 with their A380 orders. i think that will be the first replace.

Emirates become their first A380 in August 2008 and will fly in the same year to Germany and other destinations.
Etihad becomes their first A380 in 2013(very late!)
