SPANAIR And VODAFONE SPAIN PRESENT/DISPLAY The MOVABLE BOARDING PASS

In the course of MOVE 07, that will take place days 6 and 7 in the Municipal Palace of Madrid

The movable operator and the airline company sign a collaboration agreement to develop a process of movable invoicing

The passenger will receive bidimensional codes in his moving body, by means of which with total security, he will be able to journey by the airport and to embark in his flight.

Vodafone Spain and the airline company Spanair today announces the company/signature in a collaboration agreement, by means of which through an innovating system of bidimensional codes, the passenger will be able to receive in his moving body the boarding pass and to go directly to the security control, and later to embark, with the consequent saving of time and effectiveness.
In order to be able to enjoy this service, the client will only have to carry out his check-in through spanair.com, (where she will have to key in the movable telephone number, the mark and the model), selecting the option to receive its boarding pass in the moving body (in format of bidimensional bar code). A time in the airport, the passenger will be able to make the boarding in the flight to divide of the reading and automatic validation of that code, happening the moving body through escáneres special located in the controls of security and the doors of boarding.

The used technology allows to optimize these bar codes for each type of movable telephone, which avoids read errors and guarantees the greater reliability.

This project, that has been developed by the Department of Innovation and Commercial Systems of Spanair, in collaboration with Vodafone, come to show how more united the movable communications are every day to the activities that the citizen makes, as much in their professional scope as in the personnel; and how the technological innovation creates procedures that simplify the daily life and that optimize the habitual processes.

This solution, that is put into operation in the airport of Madrid Barajas with occasion of MOVE 07, Fair of the Innovation of Vodafone, will shortly be implanted space of time in several airports of the national territory.

During days 6 and 7 of June, the passengers of Spanair who go to MOVE 07 will be able to invoice in the own fair and to go later to the airport of Madrid Barajas, where they will be able to take his flight doing use of this innovating system.
