Seaplanes arrive in Scotland !

Post by pkjet »

Seaplane air service to take off

The company has been offering excursions for the last three years
A seaplane company is to start an on-demand passenger service from a new terminal in Glasgow to destinations in Argyll and Bute.
Loch Lomond Seaplanes is also considering extending the service to the Isle of Skye.

The company has offered charters, trips, business and lunch excursions for the past three years.

The new flights will take off from a terminal near Glasgow Science Centre on the River Clyde after Christmas.

Loch Lomond Seaplanes said it would begin the service after getting the go-head from the Civil Aviation Authority and Clyde Port Authority.

Regular flights will be offered to Tobermory, Oban, Arran and Bute.

However, managing director David West said Skye could be a destination in the future.

He said the service would be based on those connecting communities in western Canada.
