Difference b/w DC10 and MD11

Post by hjmemon »

Hi everybody,
Well I was wondering if anybody knows the the exterior differences b/w DC10 and MD11, except for the winglets.
As far as Landing gears are concerned, I have seen three main gears on DC10 also.
Waiting for your answers.

Hi,

Apart from L/G and winglets MD-11 has stretched fuselage compaired to DC10s, plus engine#2's air intake is bigger and rectangular/wedge fairing above #2's exhaust cone is longer then DC10..

American MD 11

The DC-10 has a more wider fuselauge hence shorter, and the MD11 has a strechier fuselauge but its rather skinny.

WHAT!!!!!!!, since when this happened!!!!!!:shock:

My friend DC-10 and MD-11 share same fuselage cross-section..... MD-11 is newer version of DC10 with updated cockpit and few major structural differences as i mentioned in my last post.....
