Bahrain Air files voluntary liquidation

Post by Bahrain_flyer »

Bahrain Air declares bankruptcy and shuts down:

Bahrain Air has suddenly ceased all operations. The airline declared voluntary bankruptcy and filed for liquidation on February 12, 2013.

The airline operated a few days over five years and operated two Airbus A319s and two A320s. Bahrain Air was hurt badly by the previous Arab Spring demonstrations in Bahrain.

sad to know about Bahrain Air voluntary liquidation due to the losses incurred, most probably unrest in the country is one of the major reason :(

i believe employees would have got a hint since the last few weeks(heard rumours) that the company is going to shut down.
the political situation has not and is not improving.
