62 killed as flydubai plane crashes in Russia amid bad weather.
Boeing 737-800 operated by flydubai crashed in its second attempt to land at Rostov-on-Don airport in Russia early yesterday. Most of onboard were Russians. What is known is that the plane, piloted by Captain Aristos, was in a mid-air holding pattern for about two hours in bad weather after an initial aborted landing attempt. It crashed two hours after Flight FZ981 was due to land. Airline chief suggestions of pilot error behind the tragedy.
FZ891 is the first UAE plane to go down.
