Restarting the Constellation build

Well today evening is the day i have finally restarted to work on my long waited Connie!

I am hoping to finish the fuselage with in next few weeks as you can not too much is there to finish her.

I did some clean-up of the work table to make room to work on here and then took my time to disassemble it's fuselage from the wing and set fuselage on the original foam chucks/cradles form which fuselage was cut from. I had to do all this very slowly and in a organized manner not to hurt my back at all, so it took me about 1hr to do it. Now only if i can recall if i need fuselage on the wing minus dummy wooden struts legs or this configuration will be fine to glue tail plane on the fuselage. Hmmmm

Plan is to permanently assemble and then glue whole tail plane on the fuselage and then do hinging for the rudders and elevators. I do want to make scale type hinging for all flight control surfaces on this model.

Once tailplane is glued on the fuselage, then i presume it will be easier to prime, detail and then paint it.

If anyone has better ideas or suggestions please chime in but if you don't have anything good, positive and constructive to say, then you better not say it!....

Lately i have been working on this model, this time to complete it in next 2-3 months and fly her!..

I have decided to power it with electric motors, esc's and lipo batteries instead of traditional glow IC engines. Other option is have to go "GAS" on it but at $200.00/ .50Ci engine, i don't think so anytime soon.

This and Concorde's fuselage will be on display at museum's wings and wheels show this time next month here in Toronto.

Well guys this S Connie model is couple months away from completion.
Unfortunately it will wear ex-TCA livery as CF-TGE fin# 405 instead of PIS's 50-60s livery.
Model will be powered with brushless low KV motors, ESC's n lipo batteries.
Model has custom made landing gears including nose gear and main landing gear struts.
Main landing gears will have airbrakes on both main landing gears.

I don't know what is with guys on here that none posted any sort of feedback since i posted a video of making the engine cowling's for this Constellation model. To me it also feels as none of you guys care about RC scale models in general and only like static display models only in any scale or form. Well
if anyone care to see the progress of this Connie model till it's first flight in next few weeks, then you can follow it on this link provided..

This model will soon be wearing PIA's 60's retirement livery. It may do it's maiden flight in TCA's livery as originally planned but till that time, it will be in PIA's livery. Eventually after first 2 years of flying her, it will be re-painted in PIA's colors once again.

Just to let you all know, who are following this build, model is being painted now days, first i painted white after doing all the body work and prep work and yesterday i sprayed dark green on the both inner sides of outer fins...since pics can't be uploaded directly on this site, i have build thread going on with all updates on http://www.Rcpak.com site in there scratch building section....

http://www.rcpak.com/index.php/forum/26 ... 5&start=90

Full credit will be given to Abbas Ali, Nasir Khawajah and who else have helped me with providing pictorial documentation and art work for this model as upcoming PIA's dinner Gala here in Toronto. I hope to see few from this site at that event.
