Post by ConnieMan »

Salam Everybody,

I am new to this site and very keen enthusiast of PIA. I would like to know where is B742 regi# AP-BCL now days, last i heard few years ago as it was suppose to be preserved at PAF Museum in Karachi, any latest on that story or its present location, i hope its not headed for death row yet...

Welcome to forum Connielover. AP-BCL was sold to Orange Air as 9L-LOR in November 2005.

Thanks Guys,

So this means that PIA never bortherd in the end to provide one of there retired B747s to the PAF Museum....Hmmm not good :( , they ended up breaking couple up instead they could have one donated to the museum!, i guess preserving older aircraft is still not big in Pakistan specially commercial big birds......

Oh and BTW, did you ever receive that PC-3 Orion model I posted to you from London which you asked me to buy for you? You kind of 'dissapeared' after that.
