My mom just travelled to ISL from KHI on saturday and is returning today...
all they ask for is a 'photo id' which could be any of the above mentioned...only for security purposes....

ED said it is required only by the security guards outside so they can confirm who is travelling, and then let them in...

I think, for non-pak nationals; Passport is a must (to verify pak visas) even they travel on domestic flight!

As an Ex-NADRA / Ex-NSRC official, i remember that NADRA started POC - Pakistan Origin Card project which is specifically for those Non-Pak nationals who are Pakistanis (by descending) means parents or any of one bearing pak nationality. So POC card can also be use as alternative to non-pak passport.

PS. I have left NADRA in 2002 so there might be changes in the MOI Laws so please check for updated info at http://www.nadra.gov.pk or visit Pak emb. (if abroad) or visit your nearest NSRC - Nadra Swift Registration Center.
