PIA gets ripped off

Post by SalamPaks »

Total and complete rip off here... Check out US Air's new logo/catchphrase.

Yes mate, it does look an awful lot like "come fly with us", even down to the cutesy little angled emphasis line beneath the "US" on US Air's cathcphrase and the "FLY" in PIA's phrase.

What on earth are the marketing minds of the world's airlines doing ?

Virgin introduces a legendary new Upper Class suite and then Air New Zealand buys the rights to have the same product fitted on their B744s and B777s.

Then PIA, use the easyjet slogan in the same font, but slightly different words : http://easyjet.com/en/book/index.asp

PIA rename their Sohni Executive Class as Business+Plus and so have Iberia and Qatar ???!!!!!!!!

Come on marketing execs, lets fly and not lie !!!
You can't be all things to all people...so just be nice !

Iberia has but not QR. They call their products simply Business and First Class.

The 'US' could very well stand for US Airways..

and if PK have not trade-marked their moto, US airways have every right to copy it!!

Not enough similarity to justify alleged copyright infringement. The US can mean 'us' as in you and me or US as in US Airways. Its probably commonly called US by the travelling public as in "We're flying US" and so on.

The West Indians all call BWIA 'Bwee' so this is probably a connotation and a short nickname.

Alot of people might say that Air Blue went and copied Jet Blue, what with the blue theme, similar a/c and product etc, but again the similarities were not close enough to justify legal action.

U.S. or us - it's clearly meant as a double entendre. Anyway, all they left out was the "Come", or their catchphrase would have been identical to PIA's.

Having chatted to a lot of U.S Air's Flight Attendants this summer, let me assure you, you're not going to "Come" if you fly U.S. Airways.
