Never get carried away by inital reports, there has not even been one picture of the site yet.
And NEVER EVER believe what news networks are saying, it's their business to get along with saying thing as if its possible to solve everything in one minute. Lets remember PIA has given NO OFFICIAL information yet. The only confirmation right now is that we have a Fokker down. Lets pray its a total life loss, about the aircraft I can't my head around the fact that we seem to have a crash apparently resulting from an engine failure of an aircraft that could very well have been DAYS away from retirement.

45 killed in Pakistani plane crash

MULTAN, Pakistan -
A passenger plane slammed into a wheat field and burst into flames minutes after takeoff Monday from a city in eastern Pakistan. All 45 people on board were killed, officials said.

The Pakistan International Airlines plane went down about two miles from the airport in Multan, causing a huge explosion,, witnesses said.

"All 41 passengers and four crew members onboard the plane have died," said Iftikhar Babar, a district coordinator.

An airline official said there was no chance anyone survived. He declined to be named as he was not authorized to address the media.

The plane was on a flight to Lahore, the capital of eastern Punjab province.

"The plane lost contact with the control tower about two minutes after takeoff. We don't know what happened to it," said an engineer for the airline, Mansoor A. Rahi.

Mohammed Nadeem, a jeweler who lives near the crash site, said the plane was rotating sideways in the air before it hit the ground.

After long decades of excellent service, it had to come down to this:
I can't believe I am saying this but this should probably be the last passenger flight of a PIA F-27.

Even though the fuselage is not visible, it looks very bad from the picture.

The PIA Fokker F-27 Friendship 200, registration AP-BAL, construction number 10243, lost in this accident was built in 1964. PIA purchased it from French regional airline TAT (Transport Aérien Transrégional) in 1979 and the aircraft was delivered to PIA on January 26, 1979.

ARYone is reporting that at least one of the pilots was alive after the crash, but could not be saved due to the blaze.
Officials are losing hope of finding survivors. Different networks are reporting that the PM has ordered all Fokker F-27 aircraft to be grounded. The passenger lists have been released and the names are being read on GEO, ARYONE and INDUS tv.
A truly tragic accident, Inna lillah wa inna ilaihi rajioon.
The angle of arrival is inversely proportional to the probability of survival.

Apparently it crashed because of some technical reason as some witnesses on ground have told us that they saw flames on the aircraft after taking off from the airport, but we can't say exactly what the reason might be, Mr Babar was quoted as saying by AFP.

It sounds like an engine fire - the crew probably trying to come back to land at the airfield or land in a field but catching some cables and losing control.

My dear friends do not fully believe in media. They have launched a false propaganda. Their news is full of "mirch masalas" exaggerated to the extreme. I request Umar Anis to do something in order to counteract the false facts.
