Would Shaheen be better off as a no-frills LCC?

Post by CoyBoy »

Thats whats needed in this market and they would be able to fill in the niche rather than competeing with Air Blue and others as a full service airline.

I agree, but with old inefficient planes they will have trouble keeping prices low.

Especially with fuel prices on the increase.

NL would be better off as 'no airline' period. They're operating like some of those African carriers like the old Ghana Airways, Nigeria Airways or the new Iraqi Airways. If theres an a/c available, they'll fly, if not stay put.

What saddens me is that they have a beautiful livery, and its just wasted on them.

Well said Moin.

Shaheen should close down operations.

It was the airline everyone thought would do well in the 1990s, but then what do you expect from a bunch of retired air marshals.

If they are only flying one aircraft then how are they maintaining their entire domestic and international network?

Also Irish non-frill LCC Ryan Air started of with 737-200 in the 90's and their service turned out very successful.
