PIA achieves 92.2 percent punctuality
KARACHI (June 04 2006): Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has achieved an overall monthly highest punctuality of 92.2 percent for the entire network, ie on its domestic and international flights, with an enviable regularity of 98.9 percent in May.

"The airline has improved its punctuality due to on-time departures and arrivals in domestic and international operations," said a press release of the airlines.

On an average, nine flights, covering the Northern Areas, ie Gilgit, Skardu and Chitral, were cancelled due to bad weather that was beyond the control of the airlines in May.-PR
