Boeing has done that for the -200LR design in general....Imran Hassan wrote:Yes they didn't need them but provisions were built into them to allow EASY installation and removal in the future, this is truely flexible and easily done.

All this bitchen about 777 deal translate to Anti-American sentiment.
If 777 was a Airbus jet, I gaurantee you no one would be complaining.
No one can find a keerra with the 777 except it has the Made in the USA tag.
So why don't all who keep bringing in this my uncle and Phopha said this or told me this about airbus offered this and boeing pressured this. Just atleast acknowledge the truth, you don't like to deal with Americans or do not like American products.
Second, keep quite about 777. 777 has turned out to be excellent aircraft in terms of reliability, performance and economics.
How many airlines have retired/replaced 777 in favour of A340's. Name One.
Vice versa Airline ditchin A340 to bring in 777, the list long enough to make you choke. Most recent orders of A340 and 777, Airbus received 16 orders of A340 family and boeing 89 orders of 777 family. YOU TELL ME WHO IS THE WINNER???

Yeh kis "dash" nay article likha hai.
Aircraft cannot attain height. Ofcourse, with full weight no commercial aircraft can go beyond 30000, even the apparent "lovely" A340. When aircraft consumes fuel along the route only then it attains height.
Secondly, its fuel consumption. B 777-200ER requires total fuel of 130 tonnes for flights to Canada and USA. 65t to MAN 65t to desired destination. My father is a performance engineer and knows well about fuel consumption. He told me that LR does not take more than 110t of fuel while flying directly. So LR is 20t more ecnomicasl than ER.
The Nation is of Jhan group whose news are exaggerated with mirch masalas. My foot.
Moreover, B777 is much better than A340. In 2005 A340 only attained 15 orders. While, B777 attained 153 orders. More than 10 times than A340. Do not negate facts with personel opinions.
