Generally, they are nice people who are eager to help but if you want something you've got to ask for it. If they don't have it, then its just your luck. I've had more troubles with customs and immigration officials.

Come to think of it, I think people need to judge PIA's service according to other world class airlines. I believe PIA has a long way to go before we can give it an "above average service.."

Think about it does PIA have;

Special meals and gifts for children.
Flight entertainment with games and telephones ( excluding the B777 as they are new)
A choice of two meals to choose from ( esp in Economy - From my previous flights they just give u what every they have w/o asking which they have - ie. an eat it or leave it )
A detailed inflight entertainment mag

For me service is made of a number of items, and not just cabin service.

The reason I would rate PIA average.

The inflight entertainment is average or non-exsistant.

The leg space in economy is the minimum allowed.

The flight schedule are not very impressive, with most destinations getting low frequency.

The average age of the fleet (except for the 777 fleet) is high.

The quality of the toilets is poor, not meaning unclean, but rather the look is like that of a 20 year old aircraft.

The positive things are a friendly cabin crew, and more recently an on time departure trend.

Being an owner of flyPIAva, I cannot rate myself, rather people have to rate the service of flyPIAva but thats an off-topic discussion!

three big things for me are good Food, IFE and Plenty of Cola. everything else is details. :lol: PIA is good i think cause all other airlines esp. European there food portion is small and tasteless.

Is there really a big differance btw BA 777 and PIA 777 on LON-ISB other than BAs (boiled meat and boiled veggies)tasteless food and BA's pale faced grannie Air hostesses :lol:

Not really, both BA and PIA have 3x3x3 layout across in economy. BTW PIA don't use 777's on the LHR-ISB routes.

Service level on gulf flights is almost below level. Once while flying to Karachi during Ramadan i witnessed f/a's virtually tossing fruits towords passengars instead of giving them in hand. :evil:
