It looks like New York will be getting six weekly flights from end March.
Four of the flights will be operated by 777s and two by the 747-240Ms.
PK727 KARACHI-NEW YORK 777LR
PK711 KARACHI-LAHORE-NEW YORK 777LR
PK723 KARACHI-ISLAMABAD-NEW YORK 777LR
PK721 LAHORE-NEW YORK 777LR
PK715 KARACHI-LAHORE-MANCHASTER-NEW YORK 747M
PK717 KARACHI-ISLAMABAD-MANCHASTER-NEW YORK 747M
Great for us Lahorites, two weekly non-stops to New York.
However I have a feeling the PK711 will be operated by a 240ER and will end up operating via Manchaster, as getting four weekly New York flights out of a single 240LR will be difficult.
The combis are probably being used due to the cargo uplift requirement on the North American sector.
One more flight, and New York would have gone daily, maybe by the summer.
