man traffic vacancies

Post by SENIOR »

Further to these vacancies at MAN anyone interested must apply through the job center plus at Commonwealth House opposite the railway station at man airport.
These posts are on a contract basis through PIA's current handling agent - Ringway Handling.

This is not a career position. And with no PIA benefits.. fits only as a student job.

It's a full time vacancy.....how exactly would a student be able to study and work full time at very unsocial hours ??
I feel sorry for whichever joinup next ! :o

everyone should be aware that PIA only employ direct from Pakistan and not overseas but only on contractual basis.
however you will be working directly with the airline and receive all the benefits.
the experience you receive will be second to none and will be a stepping stone to further your career with any other airlines.
which other station handles 28 flts a week outside Pakistan should speak for itself.
if you cannot handle this then i wouldnt bother anywhere else.

I have known pkjet for many months and this topic about the job for pia traffic is non-sense.

'ex pak' ?

Post by SENIOR »

'ex pak' meaning from ex Pakistan.
As with most supervisory nd ops roles staff are brought in from Pakistan for upto 3yrs at a a time
and are sent back or positioned to another station depending on station requirements, experience or even
because they have enough 'political clout" so to speak.
As with the on-going cost cutting exercises implemented by the current management this may change nd they may source staff locally.
Makes more sense in my view.

I see.

Well I have a fair amount of knowledge about airline operations... not much experience yet though. I reckon I could do a good job given the opportunity.

I know forum member AerPakistan will know about vacancies at Heathrow.

Thanks for the info.
