NO one organization in Pakistan has more damage to any organization than UNIONS.
PIA and Pakistan steel(still is) were the biggest victims of Union leadership. Union resorted to ghunda gardi and demanded jugga tax from workers and mgmt as well.
At one point, in early 80's there were people in PIA and Pakistan steel who were listed as workers, metalurgists, ground staff and Aeronautical engineers but no attendence records were available. Basically these people were collecting pay checks but never EVER came to work.
I know unions have been abolished in PIA but Pakistan steel still has union. Pakistan steel has been operating under loss ever since it came into existance.
