ammad wrote: Thu Oct 15, 2020 2:57 am Due to Corona pandemic all of the sudden LHE flight came into play as most of the BA routes that are solely based on leisure travel are impacted badly thus compelling them to pick other markets. for e.g Carribean/ BKK flights e.t.c. are impacted

The compelling use case for KHI could be a better connection to North American cities. Mind that It is not just YYZ, but YVR, YUL, and probably Calgary where BA flies too in Canada.

For the USA, BA flew to 26 cities, yes 26 cities while generally ME3 and TK are mostly focus on 10 main us cities. So the remaning 16 cities provides edge to BA as BA will be in the position to provide one stop flight to the destination.

For e.g. From San Diego to LHR to either LHE or KHI would be a blessing for people living there, same is true for Austin, Denver, Detroit, Phoenix, Vegas e.t.c.

In my opinion if LHE performs well with 4x weekly flights, BA could add 3x weekly flight to KHI in like a year or less time period.
Yes they fly to other small cities like AUS, FLL, DEN, BNA, CHS, PIT, and MSY. Though you wouldn't really have much people going to Pakistan, maybe just a few people a week from these cities. If you live in a city like AUS, then you can simply drive to Dallas or Houston and get variety of airlines going to Pakistan. Most time the Middle Eastern carriers have more Indians flying on board to and from America maybe Pakistani make up 10 to 20 percent of the pax, while half the plane or 75 percent going to India.

How come PIA flight LHE - LHR goes straight across through Afghanistan? and BA flight to Lahore goes south of Multan over DG Khan then into Afghanistan? Is there any special precaution be in place for the BA flight to Lahore? As we heard about the BA flight to ISB special safety was in place and that there was snipers hiding around to prevent any type of attack. Is anything special being one about Lahore?

I have been tracking these fights and they are getting delayed almost on a daily basis. Does anyone know why BA Lahore flights are getting delayed frequently since launch?

I presume one reason would be connections? awaiting for people to board the flights and then go

Well a few days this week the flight got delayed due to the long flight path it took, the flight went down south to Egypt then into KSA then UAE, then over KHI into LHE.

With the new winter times, both, LHE & ISB flights will be departing from LHR at 17:55 starting from Sunday (today).
The orbital speed of the Earth around the Sun averages about 30 km/s or 18 mps (108,000 km/h or 67000 mph).
Which means we're travelling 97 times the speed of sound. And yet we can't feel the motion,
