Seeing/reading/hearing many PALPA/PIA pilots on media, I am convinced that most of these gentlemen immediately need to work on their communication skills. All what we see is rhetoric, verbosity and disjointed emotional dialogues . Yet to find a single rep from pilot community to have logically and convincingly put forward their point of view/case.
Watch yourselves, PIA Capt Qasim Qadir's interview with journalist Abdul Qayum Siddiqui in Islamabad. Mr Qadir is also joint secy PALPA. Except for emotionally charged rant, he doesn't do anything to convince the audience. Kept on talking without saying anything.
Moreover, why Mr Qadir and others like him who claim their names are wrongly included in the list, have not gone to court?, Why PALPA has not held a press conference with affected pilots sitting with them to deny/denounce the allegations?

Well we all know that the list is not 100% accurate as has been pointed out in numerous reports and news articles.TAILWIND wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 3:38 pmVery lengthy.awasi wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 2:04 pm Very interesting letter penned by an anonymous pilot published by Sam Chui

Mistakes in the list reported by news media that I've heard include:
Some of pilots no longer working for the same airline mentioned in the list.
Some of the pilots have retired/stopped flying.
Some of the pilots died in air crash.
But these mistakes do not clear listed pilots because these mistakes are not linked to the manner in which the flying licence was obtained by these pilots from Pakistan CAA.

THURSDAY, 2 JULY 2020
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SUSPENSION OF PAKISTANI LICENSE HOLDERS IN MALAYSIA
PUTRAJAYA – Following the statement by Aviation Minister of Pakistan, Ghulam Sarwar Khan on the alarming number of Pakistani pilots that holds fraudulent licenses, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) is temporarily suspending Pakistani license holders who are currently employed in Malaysia.
This suspension comes after Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) revealed that 262 out of 860 active Pakistani pilots had not sat for the pilot exams themselves and that in total, 40% of pilots, including inactive ones, held fake licenses. In light of this, a number of countries have announced their decision to ground Pakistani pilots and ban Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) from operating flights in and out of their countries.
After an evaluation of all foreign pilots employed in Malaysia and in the interest of the safety and security of Malaysia’s civil aviation, CAAM is temporarily suspending Pakistani license holders who are currently employed by local operators. CAAM is currently making all efforts to verify with PCAA on the authenticity of these Pakistani license holders.
License holders that are verified as valid by PCAA will be reinstated immediately. The records of the Pakistani license holders will be reviewed in cooperation between CAAM and PCAA.

Absolutely, any pilots who obtained the license via fraudulent means needs to be fired immediately. All I am pointing out is that the list has inaccuracies, which demonstrates that the investigation is till ongoing and not complete.Abbas Ali wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 10:05 pm Mistakes in the list reported by news media that I've heard include:

Statement read by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz after today's federal cabinet meeting.
"Those whose licences were found suspect in the inquiry have all been grounded. All others are cleared. All stakeholders, both domestic and international, have been informed.
Actions have been initiated against those culpable both in PIA and CAA.
Twenty-eight such pilots whose licences were found suspect, and against whom disciplinary proceedings have been completed, have been dismissed from service.
Proceedings against the remaining are continuing and would be expedited both disciplinary and criminal proceedings.
Incidentally all these suspect licences were issued from 2010 to 2018 during governments of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N). It is evident that they corrupted the system to do so.
This government believes in reforming the systems, institutions and to expose and take actions against such organized mafia. This would continue without fear and favor.
Government has already initiated process to reform PIA and CAA. Figures and other relevant details may be obtained from Secretary Aviation."

Pakistan CAA has suspended licences of 34 PIA pilots.
European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in a letter to European Union (EU) member states has recommended suspension of pilots with Pakistani licences. EASA is also seeking list of pilots with Pakistani licence employed in EU member states.
Third country operators also advised by EASA not to operate flights to/from EU member states with pilots holding Pakistani licence.
