Karachi-bound PIA Flight PK-732 Flown to Lahore Upsets Passengers

According to news sources:

Passengers of PIA Jeddah to Karachi flight PK-732 were upset when the flight was re-routed and landed in Lahore. The flight was re-routed for operational reasons, according to airline's spokesperson.

On May 18, PIA Boeing 777-300ER registration AP-BMS performing Jeddah to Karachi flight PK-732 landed in Lahore at 5:31 AM. The flight was scheduled to land in Karachi at 4:00 AM.

Later, PIA Airbus A320 registration AP-BLC departed from Lahore at 6:57 AM as flight PK-732 to Karachi. The A320 carried 170 passengers, according PIA spokesperson.

After arriving in Lahore, AP-BMS departed at 9:15 AM as flight PK-759 to Jeddah. PK-759 was scheduled to depart at 9:05 AM.

Few remaining passengers of flight PK-732 were adjusted in PIA Lahore to Karachi flight PK-305.

On May 18, PIA Boeing 777-200LR registration AP-BGZ departed from Lahore at 6:08 PM as flight PK-305 to Karachi where it landed at 7:34 PM. Apparently it means a number of PK-732 arrived in Karachi with a delay of more than fifteen hours.

What could be the operational reasons? Any idea?

Apparently equipment seems to be scheduled for PK-759
May be this was the only viable aircraft
