On July 8, Pakistan will decide re-opening a number of air routes for commercial flights in air space bordering India.

Thai Airways already has announced resumption of flights for Islamabad and Lahore from July 16 that were suspended after closure of India-Pakistan border air space on February 27.

One indian News channel given the report about the huge losses occurs by indian airlines. Around 550 crores indian Rps losses are reported by 4/5 airlines. Pakistan is also ocurring major loss in over flying airspace fee by restricting the flights and more then 400 flights used to pass pakistani airspace on a daily basis.

I guess itna nuqsan kafi hai  .

Do we have any update aboute more routes opening after 15th July?

What about the loss we have suffered? Been more than 4months eastern routes are closed. Travellers are paying premium prices for those countries to route through middle east. I had to pay 162K for LHE-CMB-LHE in march and 8.5hrs of transit.

It’s a dent on both ends probably deeper here because public has also suffered in terms of money

According to Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

* India has contacted Pakistan on the issue of closed air routes on countries' border airspace

* India-Pakistan border airspace will remain closed due to presence of certain Indian Air Force (IAF) combat aircraft at airbases near Pakistan.

* Indians have been asked to remove those aircraft from airbases.

* Air routes will not be opened as long as Indian airbases are not cleared.

Only for the specific routes published earlier. This does not mean that any new routes have been opened or that free flow of traffic across all parts of the Indo-Pak border has been resumed.
