Post by Abbas Ali »

According to news sources, a PIA Boeing 777 being prepared to perform flight PK-790 to Lahore underwent surprise inspection by a team of Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft (SAFA) programme at Toronto Airport.

The SAFA team visited aircraft cockpit, passenger cabins and cargo hold. The inspection team expressed reservations about Business Class seats and talked to aircraft crew about some incorrectly closed panels.

The process delayed departure of flight by about an hour.

Probably January 22 flight PK-790 performed by PIA Boeing 777-200LR registration AP-BGZ that departed from Toronto at 4:42 PM. The flight was scheduled to depart at 3:55 PM.
