Serious question marks arriased on the authenticity of annual statistics 2017-18 published by PCAA. Just to highlight a few blunders
Passengers carried in Lakhs
(2016-17 | 2017-18)
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Qatar airways = 11.1Lakh | 5.5Lakh
Saudi airline = 11.1Lakh | 4.5Lakh
Turkish Airline = 3.2Lakh | (not published)
QR/SV even increased frequency on
certain routes but stats showing almost
60% drop in capacity of each airline.
Most interesting "calculated mistake" is
about Serene Air which have seating
Capacity of 11-Lakh passenger year round
at 100% load factor but CAA published
SERENE carried 13.5 Lakh passengers.
is these are only clerical mistakes or
showing incompetency of PCAA ???
Are CAA statistics really authentic ??

Re: Are CAA statistics really authentic ??
With three aircrafts (737-800) Serene air has 100% load capacity of 11 lakh!! This means Serene Air carried 3000 passengers per day using 3 737s with 5 trips per aircraft per day...using simple maths...
While other giant airlines Qatar, Saudia etc with numerous aircrafts are still not able to meet this high number of 11 lakh or so in 2017-18...
something really don't add up for sure.
