Re: Payment Dispute Between Pakistan CAA and Shaheen Air
In August 18 newspaper:
Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)
Public Awareness Notice
Caveat Emptor
Shaheen Air International (SAI) and Regular Public Transport (RPT) holder for Pakistan CAA has defaulted in payment of CAA over PKR 1.368 billion as on August 13, 2018. CAA has asked the airline to immediately pay all dues to CAA to avoid any regulatory and administrative action.
Due to non-payment of dues by Shaheen Air International (SAI), CAA has suspended all its facilities to SAI for its domestic and international flights at all airport, except for Shaheen Air International's Saudi Arabia-bound Hajj flights, to facilitate Hajj operation for the convenience of pilgrims.
This is for the information of general public that the airline due to its financial mismanagement may not fulfill its obligation to passengers and shippers therefore, all users must exercise caution while entering into contract with Messrs Shaheen Air International (SAI).

Shaheen Air Airbus A330-200 registration AP-BML returned to service today and performed flight NL-892 from Lahore to Guangzhou.

Seems, AP-BML was the only aircraft that performed Shaheen Air flight today.

This means that the AP-BML aircraft is safe to fly.
These two A330s will now operate the flight?

Re: Payment Dispute Between Pakistan CAA and Shaheen Air
I think Shaheen Air will be allowed to operate post-Hajj flights with Airbus A330-200s.
What will happen to Shaheen Air's Quetta-bound passengers of post-Hajj flights? Does the airline have any airworthy narrow-body aircraft left for Quetta flights?

The operation of hajj has been permitted for them since many months. but they never take advantage of that permission. Only busy in fight against CAA.
i think they don't have any A320 Aircraft left. Shaheen will use A330 Aircraft or maybe they will again buy a rent aircrafts.

Re: Payment Dispute Between Pakistan CAA and Shaheen Air
Today, Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered Shaheen Air to pay PKR 20,000,000/- as compensation to passengers who were stranded in Guangzhou for a number of days. The court ordered the airline to deposit the money within a week at the court.
Earlier, Shaheen Air representative had informed the court that the airline has formed a committee to pay compensation of PKR 100,000/- to each passenger within three months.
The compensation money per passenger should not be restricted to PKR 100,000/-, the court remarked.

Stranded passengers issue Airline told to deposit Rs20m with SC
8/21/2018
LAHORE: The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Shaheen Air International (SAI) to pay compensation to passengers previously stranded in China due to suspension of its night operation strictly in the light of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations.
Earlier, airline`s legal adviser Abraiz Ali Khan submitted a report before a three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar. He said a committee had been constituted to establish contact with the passengers to pay them compensation up to Rs100,000.
A deputy attorney general told the bench that the airline as per the regulations of the CAA was supposed to pay compensation much more than Rs100,000.
The chief justice also rejected the report and directed the airline to deposit Rs20 million with the Supreme Court registrar within two weeks, otherwise stern action would be taken against the airline.
Chief Justice Nisar observed that the court during the previous hearing had not used the figure ofRs100,000 as benchmark for the compensation.
He said the airline would be required to pay compensation to the passengers as per the regulations of the CAA.
The chief justice had taken a suo motu notice on reports that Pakistani citizens were stranded in China because of mismanagement of the airline.
The stranded passengers were s cheduled to travel back to Pakist an on July 29 by Shaheen airline. The flight despite a delay of several days had not been arranged, reflecting serious mismanagement and negligence on the part of the airline.
Later, a special flight of the SAI flew to China with approval by the CAA and took the passengers back to Pakistan.
