PSO Partially Suspends Jet Fuel Supply to PIA Over Non-payment of Dues

According to DAWN News channel, Pakistan State Oil (PSA) has partially suspended supply of jet fuel to PIA due to non-payment of dues by the financially troubled airline.

PIA has not made daily payments to PSO since past one week.

For the convenience of passengers, PSO has not suspended supply of jet fuel to majority of PIA flights. Today, supply of jet fuel was suspended for PIA flight PK-366 from Karachi to Islamabad. Flight PK-366 was scheduled to depart from Karachi at 5:30 PM.

Over fifteen billion rupees are due to be paid by PIA to PSO.

According to Dunya News channel, due to jet fuel supply partially suspended by PSO, PIA had to cancel following flights today:

PK-503 from Karachi to Gwadar.
PK-368 from Karachi to Islamabad.
PK-580 from Karachi to Multan.

According to latest reports:

PSO has restored jet fuel supply to PIA after the airline promised make payment of around thirty-two crore rupees tomorrow.

PIA Airbus A320 (AP-BLT) Karachi to Islamabad flight PK-366 departed at 7:33 PM. The flight's scheduled departure time was 5:30 PM.

So far, PIA has not been able to make promised payment to PSO.

PSO has again partially suspended jet fuel supply to PIA and may completely stop supply in case the airline fails to make payment today.

Payment by PIA to PSO is now expected by 6:00 PM today.

PIA Karachi to Kuala Lumpur Boeing 777 flight PK-896 is delayed by over fifteen hours due to affected fuel supply. Flight PK-896 was scheduled to depart from Karachi at 2:10 AM.

Departure of a PIA Karachi to Sukkur flight also delayed due to disrupted fuel supply.

PIA has not made payments to PSO since last nine days.

PIA Boeing 777-200ER registration AP-BMG departed from Karachi at 9:05 PM as flight PK-896 to Kuala Lumpur with a delay of nearly nineteen hours. The flight was scheduled to depart at 2:10 AM.

Maybe the flight was delayed due to combination of fuel supply disruption and some technical issue with the aircraft?

PIA flight PK-536 to Sukkur departed from Karachi at 5:57 PM. The flight's scheduled departure time was 4:00 PM.

PIA has made payment of twenty-five crore rupees to PSO.

PSO has restored normal supply of jet fuel to PIA.

PIA flights operation has returned to normalcy.

According to news sources, PIA Dubai flight affected due to suspended jet over delayed payments by the airline.

On May 7, PSO suspended jet fuel supply to PIA for three hours over payment issues. The suspension of jet fuel supply delayed departure of PIA flights from Karachi to Lahore and Dubai.

The fuel supply was restored after talks between the two organizations.
