Why don't they do it fast. I want to see the new livery on 777 ASAP.
The love for one's country is a splendid thing. But why should one stop at the border?

Cant believe this is the way PIA maintains an airworthy aircraft during long term grounding. Even scrapyards take better care of the airframes.Abbas Ali wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 5:29 pm
Grounded PIA Boeing 777 seen in PTV New report apparently made at Karachi Airport today.
Maybe it's Boeing 777-2Q8ER registration AP-BMH that is apparently inactive these days.

CEO PIA Saqib Aziz has directed airline's officials to bring six grounded aircraft back to service after completion of their maintenance work.
Maybe it includes Boeing 777 registration AP-BHV.
The CEO has asked airline's officials to ensure on-time departures and arrivals of flights.

It has been almost one month since 'CEO' instructed them to bring grounded aircraft back into service, but at this rate, AP-BHV will soon be inactive for one whole year, last flight was 9th February. Seems like BHV is set to become the next 'Flying Zombie'.

AP-BHV in this condition is a kind of white elephant for PIA right now. They really needs to put BHV back in air.

Re: Grounded PIA Boeing 777 Seen at Karachi Airport
Boeing 777 AP-BHV has been grounded for the last one year as its engine needs repair. Initially, the airline could not afford the refurbishment of the aircraft, but later it was forgotten.
Had the administration paid attention, the airplane could have been overhauled a year ago, according to industry sources.
The airline is attempting to revive it, but it may cost three times now as many of its parts have been used in other aircraft.

Grounded PIA Boeing 777-300ER registration AP-BHV is expected to return to service in about two weeks time after undergoing maintenance and repairs work.
Recently through a letter, Pakistan CAA had asked PIA to remove eight aircraft including a Boeing 777 occupying parking bays at Karachi Airport since a long time, according to news sources.
