PIA flights PK205/206 and PK239/240 closed?

Dear all from yesterday I was trying to book for PK 239 and 240 for dates 30th January and 24th July and the website showing that there is no flight on 24th July.

On Facebook page of PIA I posted and they told me about what's the error and I informed them. Now today when I change the departure date to 1st of February it shows no flights on both leg. Is if means PIA had stopped the Kuwait operation also.

There was an appeal to PM by Pakistani business community in Facebook to not hault the operation but seems in not successful.

Please confirm.

It's confirmed by PIA Kuwait office that the operation is suspended from February 2018.

Very Pathetic move as the Kuwait Sialkot sector was a very busy sector

Few days ago, news media reported PIA plan to suspend or reduce flights for destinations including Kuwait but at that time PIA dismissed it as misleading report.

According to following news report, PIA is ending its thrice-a-week flights between Sialkot and Kuwait from January 31. The three weekly flights on this route were suffering losses.

You wrongly translated the news. It's saying that PIA is in loss and not the route. Lahore flights are also closed.

Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airway and Turkish Airlines has killed PIA on routes to the U.S, England and Europe.

Thai has killed PIA for Far East.

Shaheen and Air blue has killed PIA on the regional routes due to lower costs they make money with even lower fares then PIA.

PIA is a dinosaur and is slowly dying but with it it has taken hundreds of billions of precious government money.

PIA has probably shut down over half its network in the last ten years, how do they plan to make money to feed 15,000 employees and pay the banks off by flying from Islamabad to Gwader.

PIA needs surgery not cosmetic surgery but property amputation.

The waiting game costs the tax payers 40 billion rupees a year.

Imagine how many schools can be built with 40 billion per year.

It seems the suspension is due to shortage of aircrafts.

Hope it starts soon as the only airline flying direct flights to sialkot from Kuwait.

PIA had announced to restart the Kuwait sector again with one flight on Sunday from Lahore and one flight on Tuesday from sialkot to Kuwait. Flight schedule will upload in coming days on website.
