Post by Abbas Ali » Mon Dec 04, 2017 5:45 pm

Saudi authorities have imposed fine of SAR 5,140/- on PIA for passenger who arrived without passport at Jeddah Airport aboard airline's flight PK-739 from Multan. Subsequently, PIA issued notice to the passenger demanding him to pay fined amount to the airline. The passenger was deported from Saudi Arabia.

The passenger, who was going to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah with his wife, claims he boarded the aircraft with the passport. He feels that, when he fell asleep aboard the aircraft, a fellow passenger stole his bag containing the passport. The affected passenger's wife with passport was allowed to enter Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

According to FIA, immigration and PIA records at Multan Airport, the passenger did board the aircraft with passport.
