Qatar Airways participates in PTM

DOHA, Qatar:
Qatar Airways has participated in the first ever Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM), Pakistan’s biggest annual international travel and tourism expo that was held at the Karachi Expo Centre between the 24th – 26th of November 2017. As the exhibition’s diamond sponsor, Qatar Airways was among a large number of international travel and tourism organisations from around the world that displayed their products and innovations to the events’ 25,000 visitors.

Qatar Airways’ participation offered the unique opportunity to showcase its luxurious Boeing 787 Dreamliner Business Class seat at a bespoke branded stall. Corporate clients were presented with a real glimpse of the airline’s Business Class experience during the expo. Visitors were also given the chance to enrol in Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club, the airline’s award-winning Frequent Flyer Programme, and were eligible to gain bonus Qmiles on their first flight and join the fast track upgrade programme. Qatar Airways Pakistan Country Manager, Ahmad Mir said: “Qatar Airways was proud to sponsor the Pakistan Travel Mart, which aimed to connect multiple international and local travel companies at the Karachi Expo Centre. The highly successful event was a fantastic opportunity to showcase some of Qatar Airways’ impeccable services and allow visitors to experience our world-class product.

“Qatar Airways has demonstrated its commitment to Pakistan’s market and has once again reinforced its prominent position to the global tourism, travel and hospitality industries.” The national carrier of the State of Qatar currently serves 68 weekly flights from seven of Pakistan’s major cities: Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Sialkot, Faisalabad and Multan. Through a seamless stopover at Doha’s five-star hub, Hamad International Airport, travellers can reach more than 150 business and leisure destinations across six continents through the airline’s extensive global network.

Pakistani nationals are now among 80 countries who no longer need to apply or pay for a visa to visit Qatar; instead, a multi-entry waiver will be issued free-of-charge subject to conformity to certain terms and conditions. This opportunity invites visitors to experience many of Qatar’s unique attractions and discover its renowned hospitality and cultural heritage.

Qatar Airways has continued to innovate its Business Class offering to offer passengers a new level of innovation and a unique and revolutionary premium travel experience. It launched its award-winning Qsuite earlier this year. Qsuite offers a fully transformable suite of seats that allows parties of two, three or four to create their own unique space within the Business Class cabin. This game-changing patented design is set to transform the face of aviation and Business Class travel by bringing a First Class product to the Business Class cabin.

The award-winning airline has received a number of accolades this year, including ‘Airline of the Year’ by the prestigious 2017 Skytrax World Airline Awards, which was held at the Paris Air Show. This is the fourth time that Qatar Airways has been given this global recognition.

In addition to being voted ‘World’s Best Airline’ by travellers from around the world, Qatar’s national carrier also won a raft of other major awards at the ceremony, including ‘Best Airline in the Middle East,’ ‘World’s Best Business Class’ and ‘World’s Best First Class Airline Lounge.’ Qatar Airways operates a modern fleet of more than 200 aircraft to a network of more than 150 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America. The airline is launching a host of exciting new destinations planned for the remainder of this year and 2018, including Canberra, Australia; Chiang Mai, Thailand and Cardiff, U.K, to name just a few.
