PIA Delegation to Attend Dubai AirShow 2017

According to news sources, an eight-member PIA delegation led by airline's Chief Executive Officer Dr. Musharraf Rasool Cyan will visit Dubai Airshow 2017 (dubaiairshow.aero) where it will evaluate various aircraft suitable for the airline and will also hold talks/meetings with aircraft manufacturers.

The PIA delegation includes Chief Operating Officer, Chief Technical Officer, Chief Corporate Development Officer, Chief Flight Operations, Deputy Chief Pilot and Legal Consultant.

Dubai AirShow 2017 will be held from November 12 to 16 at Al Maktoum International Airport - DWC.

The PIA delegation will depart from Karachi for Dubai on airline's flight PK-213 tonight. The delegation will return to Karachi by airline's flight PK-214 from Dubai on November 15.

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi and Chairman PIA, Secretary Aviation and Chairman CAA Board Squadron Leader (Retd.) Muhammad Irfan Elahi also have been invited to attend Dubai AirShow 2017 by airshow organisers.

Money is the problem. Boeing 787 is a big success and currently back log for 787 is about 4 years. Boeing is in no hurry to offer deep discount for financially ailing customer like PIA.
