PAF Aircraft Crashes in Mianwali

According to DAWN News channel, a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter crashed in Mianwali. The aircraft's pilot Wing Commander Zeeshan Attaa hailing from Dera Ghazi Khan embraced martyrdom in the crash.

According to Geo News, the ill-fated aircraft was an F-7 and it had crashed on the night of August 8. Body of the pilot was recovered from the crash site on August 9.

The aircraft crashed into a forest around 4:00 AM on August 8. The aircraft's wreckage was found before location of pilot's body on August 9.

Maybe the pilot ejected and something went wrong with the ejection process?

The aircraft had departed from PAF Base M.M. Alam, Mianwali, according to newspaper reports. Probably F-7PG Skybolt?

The aircraft crashed in a forest near Muzaffar Pur, Wan Bhachran, Sabza Zaar, some twenty kilometers away from Mianwali city. Heavy machinery was used to clear way in the forest for search & rescue teams.

Funeral prayers of the pilot have been performed in Dera Ghazi Khan, according to news channels.

The crashed aircraft was an F-7P Skybolt, according to PTV News.
