The Civil Aviation Authority is one of the few government owned organizations that is not bleeding money.

With the amount of money spent on building the new Islamabad airport, the project to upgrade Lahore airport, the new Multan airport do you really think they will curtail open skies agreement and have the new airports empty without any planes landing.

PIA is not losing money because of open skies it is losing money because it is staffed with morons.

those who invested in upgrade of navaids / aerodrome infrastructure such as ILS CAT III or runway extension type of projects won't let the frequencies downgraded if open skies policy is revised to shrink them

Adviser to Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi said that the Open skies policy though creates competition, but unfortunately other airlines were given frequencies in the past while not considering the national airlines. He said that now no new requests for frequencies are being entertained.
