Don't be over. These A310s were able to fly more when PIA management decided not fly them.
These are not "Beyond Repair" aircraft, which PIA going to fly again. Proper maintenance and operational assessment can easily make these aircraft flyable. No doubt this may impact financial loss.
It's not being over. They're right. The A310's are in a horrible state, so what if they're still usable? During takeoff they rattle like hell, the engines make wierd noises, and upon boarding the plane almost always has some pressurization problem. Every 2nd flight was returning back or diverting due to technical errors, It's happened with me personally and I used to read it on HOP. It was damaging PIA's name and causing the airline to lose customers rapidly. Almost all passengers who flew on the 310 recently stopped flying.
I booked by father in Business class on the 310 to Beijing hoping it wouldn't be such a bad journey in a premium class; upon arriving he changed his ticket to China Southern and vowed never to fly PIA on that route unless the plane changes. When it finally changed he began flying once again, and I'm sure the same has happened with many passengers.
These planes require heavy maintenance that PIA can't provide. Our 777s are far from perfect, but flying the 310s is plainly risking passenger lives. I won't fly PIA on an A310 route, even if you payed me.
