Reading the several news days regarding Emirates and some other operators (who apparently dont seem to love A380), it seems soon the lease market will have lots of A380s available for lease, with not many interested customers. No surprise, A380 can be pretty much considered a dead project by 2020. It only will take Emirates announcing no further A380 orders and this program is dead.
With new ISB presumably capable of handling A380 on two of its gates, wouldn't it be viable 4,5 years from now (if PIA still exists) to get these A380s on wet lease for hajj operations? I just wanted to understand if it's viable or not because you can easily fly full during departure operations but return nearly empty on way back. Similarly you fly empty to Saudia during return operations and fly fully loaded on way back. So can this make a business case for getting A380s on lease for short period, in terms of profit and some infrastructure investment?

a single class layout 777-300 seating around 490 passengers will be good enough for Hajj.
