NL902 which should have departed 01/02 at 22:00ish is now showing as due to depart at 12:00 today.

A friend visited the office in Manchester and they've been told they are suspending the route due to political pressure and to somewhat help PIA.
Re refunds they are having a meeting and will advise passengers shortly.

If Shaheen Air staff at Manchester airport are tell this to people this is not to be believed. Shaheen Air may have operational issues and problems of their own flying on this route , may be more pressure from British airport and aviation authorities .

If there is a political pressure on airlines then this trend is no good it may later shift to domestic route too. Political pressure should be put on M3 if PIA wants to survive that way.

Is it ferry flight?

AP-BMK had landed in Manchester at 8:02 PM on January 31 as flight NL-901 from Islamabad.

It means the A330 stayed in Manchester for more than sixty-six hours.

The flight eventually took off today at 14:55 - with a delay of around 65 hours.

Does nobody know what the issue was with this aircraft?

AP-BMK landed in Islamabad at 3:43 AM as flight NL-902 from Manchester and then departed from Islamabad at 6:32 AM as flight NL-901 to Manchester.

I am surprised by the move of Shaheen Air's MAN operations getting suspended, rather than suspension why not they distribute the origin of these MAN bound flights to 2 x exLHE and 2 x exISB, may be Lahore station can give them good load?

Moreover, competitive fares does not seems to work lonely but need other facilities too like IFEs for +8 hrs journey, if not yet available on these A332s

Hello thank you for your reply. I finally got through to their call centre & they have arranged a refund for the passenger however, in their confirmation email it says the refund can take between 40-45 working days.

Today's Shaheen Air Islamabad to Manchester flight NL-901 is apparently delayed by over six hours. The flight was scheduled to depart from Islamabad at 4:10 PM.

Shaheen Air suspended the Manchester flights and PIA jump in to take advantage and they are now starting daily flight to Manchester from Islamabad from 15th Feb 2017.
